Cobb Landmark's gave me the keys to the cookhouse at the William Root House in Downtown Marietta..and boy did I have fun.
The Root House is one of the oldest in the Atlanta area and if you decide to make a visit, you can view things like the recreated cookhouse and see the working 1850s cookstove.
Executive Director, Trevor B., trusted me enough to bake a pie in that 1850's woodfire cookstove and decided to capture it all on film so guests from far and wide can see why we upgraded to things like A/C and pants.Enjoy this historically accurate depiction of baking a pie in the 1800s.
