Valentine's Day is the best 'cause it's just another reason to hang with your gal pals and treat yourself! There are so many fun spots around the Marietta Square to spend time with your friends this Valentine's Day season, but here are a few of our favs:
Hang Out With Kittens!!
Do you love to spend time with furry little babies (aka...cats)!? In Marietta Square is Georgia’s first adoptable cat cafe, Java Cats! You can reserve an hour for yourself for $12 each, and it comes with a coffee! We actually had a day outing one day before work at Java Cats and it was such a delight! All of the cats are absolutely precious and some will play or try to cuddle. The best part is that if you fall in love with a kitty, you can apply to adopt one through the Cobb County Humane Society! It’s so fun to go with your girlfriends and pet cats while sipping on some delicious coffee!
Eat Some Good Grubs...OF COURSE!
Maybe you want to stop around the Square for some good eats. Luckily, there’s plenty of delicious restaurants to choose from! On the Square is Taqueria Tsunami - a combination of comfy Mexican food and delicious Korean food, making for the most unique dishes! My personal favorite is the Korean BBQ Short Rib Quesadilla. Yes, it’s a mouthful, but it comes with a special sour cream that tastes divine!
Right next to Pie Bar is Two Birds, a taphouse that serves burgers and pizzas. They have a large variety of beverages (for those of age) and wonderful food. Another recommendation of mine is their burger, literally called “The Burger”. It’s an angus patty with beer cheese, bacon jam, crispy onions, and pickle on a delectable brioche bun. Another great recommendation is their Margherita Pizza. It’s a favorite here at Pie Bar! These restaurants are open the week of Valentine’s Day, so plan the date now!
Craft Together!Another great option is to show off your artistic skills with your friends by making pottery or painting! There’s so many wonderful places near Marietta that offer the chance to get creative. One spot is Just Kiln’ Time, a pottery and painting studio where you can create your own works of art out of clay. It’s perfect for all ages and a great group activity! If painting is more your thing, at Corkscrew and Canvas you and your friends can take a class together where you’ll get to create a beautiful painting. With the guidance and assistance of their teachers, you’ll be sure to create a painting you’ll be proud of regardless of your skill level. They also offer beverages and you are invited to bring any snacks you’d like to enjoy during the class. Whether you are artistically inclined or not, you and your friends will have a blast bonding over your creations!
