Well now, it has been quite some time since we last talked. How have you been?
I have just been marveling at the changing seasons. Summer really flew by didn’t it? Of course, we had such wonderful flavors to eat, from the Key Lime to the Rustic Peach. But as the hot summer sun sets, the crisp, autumn leaves will soon begin to fall, and with that, come new fall flavors.What are those flavors? Well, allow me to tell you.
Firstly we have the legendary, Brown Sugar Chess! This outstanding flavor is what I think Fall is all about, the sweetness of the brown sugar chess filling, topped off with a dash of sea salt is simply too good for words! It is the perfect pie for a fall breakfast or snack. Honestly, I would have it for dinner if my family would allow it. But like the season it represents, that is not all that there is to our seasonal fall menu!
We also carry the Cinnamon Buttermilk! This sweet pie is a perfect pick-me-up! It's balanced, with a light, vanilla custard filling and a dash of cinnamon. This flavor is an underrated one -- if you haven't had a buttermilk pie before and are unsure, it is definitely worth trying. Who knows, it may become your next favorite!
Last but certainly not least, we have the Pumpkin Praline Pie! Soft, pumpkin pie filling, topped off with a crunchy, praline pecan topping is the go-to and ultimate epitome of what we consider to be Fall. My heart skips a beat just thinking about it. No, that is not an exaggeration. T
These three pies truly represent Fall to me -- each bite is comfort food at its finest, and they have my counting down the days until I can have them again, so very soon! But that’s honestly just one of the many reasons I am so excited for Fall.
